Transport Options

As we are rurally located we do recommend guests hire a car to fully enjoy and explore the region. We can arrange taxis or shuttles to and from Blenheim, Picton and local restaurants.

Antipasto platter

If you have had a long journey or just want to kick your shoes off and relax, order and enjoy an informal antipasto platter. Typically this includes local seafood, smoked meats, salad, fruit and cheese, crackers and bread with pickles. Generally just a few hours notice is all we need.

Cost: $65 for two people

Dining Options

Marlborough has many good local restaurants in Blenheim, Picton and the wine area. During peak season we do recommend that reservations are made in advance and are happy to do this for you. We can also organise a shuttle or taxi to/from restaurants. Note: with the exception of Hans Herzog, winery restaurants are only open for lunchtime dining. Here are a few suggestions, it is by no means an exhaustive list.

Arbour

Set in the stunning landscape of rural, wine growing Marlborough, Arbour has a modern and relaxed environment with innovative cuisine, an extensive wine list and warm, friendly service. The kitchen offers both an a la carte menu and a 'Just Feed Me' experience of three, four, five or 'MANY' courses.

Herzog Restaurant and Bistro

Choose between Herzog’s fine dining restaurant or the Cellar Door Bistro. Perhaps relax in beautiful Mediterranean gardens with views of their single vineyard while experiencing casual lunchtime cuisine.

MIA

Located in Blenheim town centre, MIA uses freshly sourced local food with great local and overseas wines. The food, service and atmosphere all come together to create an enjoyable dining experience.

Gramado’s

Gramado’s  is located in Blenheim with a Brazilian influence and inspired by a small town in southern Brazil. With a homestyle atmosphere it is a cosy place for dinner or drinks.

Saveur

Saveur is situated in the heart of Blenheim overlooking the Taylor River. Open 7 days and nights starting with breakfast from 7.30 – 11.00am. Lunch is available from 11.30 – 2.30 and the evening menu is served from 5.30 until late.

Hotel d'Urville Restaurant

Located in Blenheim town centre Hotel d'Urville aims to create an unforgettable dining experience with fine food, wonderful wines and excellent service. The restaurant is located in the lovely Public Trust heritage building.

Wairau River Restaurant

A rammed earth classic colonial building houses the very popular cellar door and winery restaurant, Wairau River. Enjoy lunch in a relaxed informal environment either outside under the grapevine pergolas and veranda or inside beside the large open fire in winter.

Rock Ferry

Rock Ferry Cellar Door and Cafe has a welcoming warm feel as a place for lunch. The menu is based around seasonally inspired cooking and their range of organically grown wines.

In Picton

If you fancy a change from the vineyards, Picton is a very pretty port town with a delightful waterfront area, only 18 kilometres (15 minutes drive) away.

Situated on the waterfront in Picton, Café Cortado provides an excellent atmosphere to enjoy lunch or dinner. The slightly South American infused menu offers an excellent range of food, from pizza to full contemporary meals, and fresh, succulent New Zealand seafood dishes.

Havelock is the place to go for the local Greenlipped mussels (approximately 30 minutes drive from us)
